Arts Share summer camp spaces still available
Spark your child's creative side this summer. University of Iowa Arts Share camp still has space available June 13-17. The camp is for children entering grades 1-6. Campers are grouped by grade with a limit of 18 students per section.
Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day. Workshops this year will include marbling, printmaking, writing and journal making, performances by a local theater improvisation group, music and movement. Workshop leaders are UI graduate students who have extensive teaching experience through Arts Share.
Arts Share continues UI's long tradition of sharing creative resources from the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Division of Performing Arts (music, dance, theatre), School of Art and Art History and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Its goal is to strengthen the arts in underserved areas, reaching out to provide access to life-enriching arts experiences throughout Iowa.
