Local student earns Tippie Scholarship at University of Iowa

(Student name) of (hometown) has been selected to receive a first-year scholarship from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business and is one of 35 entering first-year students who have been awarded more than $57,000 in scholarships for fall 2011.

(Student last name) met the academic criteria to become a member of a select group of first-year students admitted directly to the Tippie College of Business. Direct admission students compete for first-year scholarships and winners are chosen based on academic merit and demonstrated participation in extracurricular, leadership and service activities.
