UI to host community seminar on young athletes and concussions

Specialists from UI Sports Medicine and UI Athletics will discuss the latest information about concussions and how to keep youth athletes safer at a free community seminar from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame Roy G. Karro Building, located at 2425 Prairie Meadow Drive in Iowa City.

Iowa recently passed a new law concerning youth athletes and concussions. The law, coupled with advancements in medical guidelines and technology, helps professionals evaluate and treat concussions better than ever before.
