UI Spring Job and Internship Fair to showcase more than 120 employers

The University of Iowa's Marvin A. and Rose Lee Pomerantz Career Center will present the Spring Job and Internship Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union.

An estimated 1,300 UI students and alumni will connect with more than 120 employers in search of employment and internship opportunities. Students of all majors, seeking full-time positions and internships, are encouraged to attend. Students should bring their student ID to check-in.

The event will host local and national organizations such as IBM, Eli Lilly, Coyote Logistics, Principal Financial Group, Go Daddy, United States Peace Corps, ConMed Corporation, Walgreens and Pella Corporation.

“In a competitive job market, attending a career fair is a great way for students to network with more than 120 employers in one room on campus, wanting to speak with them about internship and full-time job opportunities,” said David Baumgartner, assistant provost for enrollment management.

Pomerantz Career Center provides services to UI students and alumni. Services available include career and major exploration, assessment tools, career advising and job and internship search resources such as, an online recruiting system.

The Pomerantz Career Center hosts several career fairs annually, career education programs for students, mock interviews and many other programs and services.
