Open house for UI Health Care - Muscatine is June 12
The public is invited to the grand opening for University of Iowa Health Care - Muscatine from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12. The clinic is located at 3465 Mulberry Ave. in Muscatine.
The free event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and brief remarks at 1:30 p.m., as well as tours of the new facility, refreshments and activities:

UI Piano Camp faculty will present public recital June 15
Faculty of the University of Iowa Piano Camp -- part of the UI Summer Music Camps for students who have completed grades 8-12 -- will present a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, in the University Capitol Center Recital Hall.
The recital will feature performances by Alan Huckleberry and Rene Lecuona of the UI School of Music piano faculty, who give daily lessons to the camp participants. Other performers will be teaching assistants Diego Arango, Brandon Bascom and William Whipple.
Students in the Piano Camp also take music theory and piano literature classes, as well as a course in music and technology that utilizes the School of Music's state-of-the-art Roland computerized keyboard lab.

Canceled: Listen to poet Anne Shaw on Writing University website June 16
Rhode Island poet Anne Shaw will read from her debut collection, "Undertow," at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, in Prairie Lights, 15 S. Dubuque St. in downtown Iowa City. The free event will be streamed live and then archived on the University of Iowa's Writing University website, http://www.writinguniversity.org.
"Undertow" was the winner of the 2007 Lexi Rudnitsky Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared and is forthcoming in numerous journals, including New American Writing, Verse, the Beloit Poetry Journal, Gulf Coast, the Black Warrior Review and the Green Mountains Review. She has also been featured on Poetry Daily and From the Fishouse.
