College of Education research symposium celebrates student work Jan. 29

University of Iowa graduate students in educational fields will present their innovative research from noon to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the Jones Commons, Room N300, Lindquist Center as part of the 2010 Martin Luther King, Jr., Research Symposium. The UI College of Education (COE) Diversity Committee will sponsor the event, which is free and open to the public.

This year, 21 student researchers will present their work during the latter half of the event. Michael Hill, UI assistant professor of English, will give the keynote address, "Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and His Curriculum of Courage." A presentation of awards to students for top research posters will follow, sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa.
