UI Museum of Natural History’s Story-time Explorers presents pandas
The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History Story-time Explorers series continues Sunday, Aug. 15, with children's book readings about pandas. The free, public event begins at 2 p.m. in Mammal Hall, located on the third floor of Macbride Hall on the UI Pentacrest.
Story-time Explorers readings are geared toward elementary-aged children and their families. Visitors will hear stories about these bamboo-eating bears, as well as learn about panda conservation efforts and their lives in mountain habitats. At the end of story-time, children will have the opportunity to make their own panda puppets to take home.
The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History features three permanent galleries exploring natural history and emerging environmental research in Iowa and beyond. For more information call 319-335-0606 or visit http://www.uiowa.edu/~nathist.
