Madison Street reduced to single lane Sept. 10-20

A University of Iowa construction project will reduce traffic to a single lane on Madison Street north of Market Street from Wednesday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Sept. 20. The reduction will affect traffic to the North Campus Ramp, the Chemistry Building, and the North Hall parking lot. Appropriate signage and signaling devices will be installed to minimize disruptions to street and pedestrian traffic. The project includes the installation of a new steam condensate line which will run from the Chemistry Building to a tunnel on the west side of Madison Street. This work is a part of the Chemistry Building Phase Two renovation.
