UI pharmacy students will host health fair Oct. 27 in North Liberty
As part of American Pharmacists Month in October, University of Iowa College of Pharmacy students will host a "Mini-Health Fair" from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Liberty Pharmacy, located at 555 W. Cherry St. in North Liberty.
Flu shots, diabetes screenings, heartburn-awareness counseling and bone density screenings will be available.

Early registration deadline for rural health and safety conference Nov. 7
You can learn how federal policy affects the health and economics of rural areas at "Staying Afloat," the 2008 Midwest Rural and Agricultural Safety and Health Forum, Nov. 20-21 at the Radisson Quad City Plaza in Davenport.
Early registration ends Nov. 7, with registration discounts available to farmers and students. Forum topics will include advances in tractor safety, agricultural work trends, injury prevention, child safety and pesticide control.
The forum is hosted by two centers based at the UI College of Public Health: Iowa's Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (I-CASH) and the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health.
