Osher workshop 'Own Your Future' will be held March 29

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Iowa Center on Aging is offering "Own Your Future: Setting Your Inner Compass" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, for individuals retired or near retirement. Using multidimensional tools, reflective exercises and group dynamics, the course will help guide participants through a personal strategic-planning process to illustrate their desired future. The session facilitator is social gerontologist Mary Kathryn Wallace. Enrollment is $55 per person, which includes lunch.

Bo Ramsey to perform on 'Java Blend' March 28

Iowa blues legend Bo Ramsey will perform live as part of the Iowa Public Radio performance series Java Blend from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the Java House in downtown Iowa City.  The hour-long, free show originates from WSUI-AM 910 and will be recorded for broadcast Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13 across the state on Iowa Public Radio.
