Heaphy to speak on American foreign policy, International Criminal Court July 17
Matthew Heaphy, deputy convener of the American Non-Governmental Organizations Coalition for the International Criminal Court, will present "American Foreign Policy and the International Criminal Court" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17. The program will take place in 2520D University Capitol Centre, on the second floor of the Old Capitol Town Center, and is hosted by the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, the Iowa United Nations Association and Linn County Amnesty International. This talk is free and open to the public. No reservation is required.

Cruis'n for Kids Car Show to support UI Children's Hospital
Classic cars will be on display from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the University of Iowa Kinnick Stadium Krause Family Plaza, located off Melrose Avenue in Iowa City.
Activities and entertainment for the whole family include free die-cast cars for kids, visits with Batman and his Batmobile, 50's and 60's music, meeting Herky and Perky, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and more.
Admission is free. The show registration fee per car is $15. All proceeds will be donated to UI Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network. For more information, contact Michelle Altmaier or Ashly Brown at 319-335-8484.
UIAA taking reservations for Member Appreciation Day
The University of Iowa Alumni Association (UIAA) is taking reservations for its Member Appreciation Day, Oct. 18, when UIAA members can enjoy a party before the Iowa/Wisconsin football game.
The UIAA has a set number of football game tickets available for purchase by UIAA members planning to attend Member Appreciation Day. Because tickets are limited, UIAA members are encouraged to complete their reservations as soon as possible as they are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations for the pre-game party can be made online at http://www.iowalum.com/mad and should be made by Monday, Sept. 15.
Activities will begin three hours before kickoff in the North Gym of the UI Field House located on Grand Avenue in Iowa City. The UIAA will offer free food and music as a special thanks for its members' support throughout the year.
