Eli Jones to perform on 'Java Blend' Jan. 11

Chicago pop/soul band Eli Jones will perform live as part of the Iowa Public Radio performance series Java Blend at noon on Friday, Jan. 11 at the Java House in downtown Iowa City.

Eli Jones is an eight-piece pop/soul band from Chicago, featuring Stefanie Berecz on vocals. Inspired by artists such as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, Eli Jones has played some of Chicago's best clubs and toured the Midwest Since forming in 2005. "Make It Right" is Eli Jones' first studio LP.

The public is invited to be part of the live audience for the hour-long, free show, which originates from the University of Iowa's radio station WSUI-AM 910. "Java Blend" will be recorded for broadcast Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 27 across the state on Iowa Public Radio. For broadcast times and stations, go to http://iowapublicradio.org.
