Parker, Colo. native completes cardiovascular interventional education program

Rickey Moggio of Parker, Colo. has graduated from the Cardiovascular Interventional Program at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Moggio completed his education in cardiovascular interventional technology on Aug. 26. The six-month training program accepts students each fall and spring and is one of several advanced offerings in the Post-Radiologic Technology Education Program at the UI.

Cardiovascular interventional (CVI) technology plays an important role in diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic patient procedures. Concentrating mainly on the patient's cardiac and vascular systems, CVI includes angiography, venography, central venous access, and both nonvascular and vascular interventional procedures. UI Hospitals and Clinics has offered CVI technology training since 1992.
