UI International Student Ambassadors host Cultural Ball Nov. 30

The University of Iowa International Student Ambassadors will host the second annual Cultural Ball from 8 to 11:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in the second floor ballroom at the Iowa Memorial Union on the UI campus. Additional sponsors include the UI Organization for Active Support of International Students (OASIS) and UI International Programs.

This cultural event will bring university students and the Iowa City community together through the foods, music and people from different cultures, said Betsy Fruechte, president of the International Student Ambassadors.

"Last year we learned about different cultures not only by the different representatives of food and music, but by the people who attended," Fruechte said. "It's a great way to meet students from all over the world and to just have a great time talking and dancing."

Tickets are available for $2 at the University Box Office. Tickets will also be available at the door.

For more information or special accommodations to attend this event, contact Fruechte at

All ticket proceeds will go to the Save Darfur campaign.
