UI Presidential Search Committee To Meet Friday, May 11
The University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, May 11 in N304 (Dean's Conference Room) of the UI College of Dentistry.
Following the acceptance of minutes from the meeting of May 4 and any updates from committee members in open session, the meeting is expected to move into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code § 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate confidential materials involving the professional competency of potential candidates for the presidency of the university.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., the closed session will be moved to a location off campus to conduct interviews of candidates from approximately 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 13 and Monday, May 14. All interviews will be conducted in closed session. No deliberation or action other than the interviews will occur at the closed session location. The committee will return to open session in Room N304 (Dean's Conference Room) of the Dental Science Building on the UI campus in Iowa City at about 8 p.m. Monday, May 14 to adjourn.
Following is the agenda for the meeting:
1. Open session: acceptance of minutes from May 4 meeting.
2. Updates from committee members.
3. Request for closed session to evaluate confidential materials involving the professional competency of potential candidates for the presidency of the university. Closed session will continue on May 13 and May 14, pursuant to notice.
4. Return to open session at about 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, in room N304 of the Dental Science Building.
