First Two Presidential Candidates Announced
The Presidential Search Committee is pleased to announce the campus visits of the first two of five finalists for the position of the President of The University of Iowa:
• Monday, June 11: Dr. Philip Furmanski, executive vice president for academic affairs at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. For more information, see http://news-releases.uiowa.edu/2007/june/060807furmanski.html

The remaining three candidates will be announced early next week.
Each candidate will participate in a public forum at 3:45 p.m. in the Senate Chamber of the Old Capitol Museum on the day of her/his visit. This will be your opportunity to hear the candidates speak on issues of concern to higher education and to respond to your questions. A reception will follow each forum, from 5-5:45 p.m. Monday’s reception will be in the Museum of Natural History in Macbride Hall. The remaining receptions will be in the Old Capitol Museum.
The forums will be taped and played on UITV at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the day of the candidate’s visit.
