Hayden Fry To Visit IMU For Book-Signing Event

Former University of Iowa football coach Hayden Fry will sign copies of the book "Greatest Moments in Big Ten Football History" from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 2 at the University Book Store on the ground floor of the Iowa Memorial Union.

In addition, Marv Cook and Rob Houghtlin, members of Fry's 1985 top-ranked team, are scheduled to make an appearance at the event.

"Greatest Moments in Big Ten Football History" highlights the biggest games played in the Big Ten Conference since 1896.  The book includes 150 memorable photos, and stories about Alan Ameche, Archie Griffin, Red Grange, Tom Harmon, Amos Alonzo Stagg, Fielding Yost, Bruce Smith, Bernie Bierman, and Iowa's own Nile Kinnick.

The book, edited by Mike Bynum and published by Epic Sports, includes some of Fry's biggest wins as a Hawkeye coach, including Iowa's 12-10 win over Michigan in 1985 when Iowa was nationally ranked No. 1 and Michigan No. 2. It also recaps Iowa's 29-27 win at Ohio State in 1987, and Iowa's 24-23 upset win at No. 10 nationally ranked Michigan in 1990.

The book was "Greatest Moments in Big Ten Football History" is on sale for 10 percent off at University Book Store and Iowa Hawk Shop locations.  Due to time constraints, Hayden Fry will only be signing this book with a limit of three signatures per person.
