Former President Carter To Sign New Book April 18

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will sign copies of his new book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Main Lounge of the University of Iowa's Iowa Memorial Union. The book signing will be held in advance of Carter's speech, sponsored by the UI Lecture Committee and scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Doors to the book signing will open at 2 p.m. Those attending should enter from the Hubbard Commons main entrance on the east side of the IMU. The University Book Store will have the book available for purchase on site.

Restrictions include: a limit of three signed books per person; no other book titles or items (photos, memorabilia, etc.) will be signed; and no backpacks, large bags, bottles, food, cameras, or signs will be allowed.

There will be no photo opportunities for the public or media. However, University Relations News Services will provide photographs of the book signing for media shortly after the event on its Web site:
