Carey Appointed To UI Advisory Board

Tom Carey, a guidance counselor at City High School, was recently appointed to the High School Counselor Advisory Board for the University of Iowa's Office of Admissions.

Carey is one of 15 select high school counselors on the board, which was formed in 1991 to advise the UI Office of Admissions on various issues related to the college admissions process. The board meets on the UI campus twice a year in April and September.

"We look forward to working with Tom Carey and know that he will be effective in helping us make the admissions process easier for students," said Michael Barron, UI assistant provost for enrollment services and director of admissions.
