Pomerantz Center Sponsors Public Engagement Career Week

Students interested in non-profit, government and human service work are encouraged to attend the upcoming Public Engagement Careers Week offered by Pomerantz Career Center. The event includes a career fair and a variety of informational programs that will take place across campus from Sept. 25 to 29.

The programs will provide students with information on career options as well as opportunities to network with employers seeking to fill internship and full-time positions. Students of all majors are encouraged to attend the events.

"This is a unique opportunity for students to connect with employers from the government, non-profit and human services sectors without leaving campus and to explore career paths they may want to know more about," says Sherry Hingtgen, student services and event coordinator at the Pomerantz Career Center.

Programs that will take place throughout the week are "So, You Want a Job With the Federal Government," "Non-Profits and Public Engagement: A View From the Workplace," and "So, You Want a Job With a Non-Profit."
