Public Health Leadership Topic Of Oct. 23 Conference

The Institute for Public Health Practice at the University of Iowa College of Public Health will host its annual Fall Colloquium and Leadership Conference from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in the Richey Ballroom, Room 376, of the Iowa Memorial Union on the UI campus. The conference will address "Leadership for Change" and bring together faculty and students from the College of Public Health with area public health practitioners.

The featured speakers include Robert J. Howard, a leading expert in crisis communications in medicine and education, and Hugh Tilson, clinical professor of public health leadership and adjunct professor of epidemiology and health policy at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health. Tilson will present the keynote address, "The Future of the Public's Health: Fields of Opportunity for Iowa Leadership."
