IWP Presents Oct. 27 Reading And Panel Discussion

Participants in the University of Iowa International Writing Program (IWP) will present two free events on Friday, Oct. 27: a panel discussion at noon in the Iowa City Public Library, and a reading at 5 p.m. in Shambaugh House.

The panel at the Iowa City Public Library, "Writing and Its Mis/Fortunes: How I Write Where I Write," will include presentations by Mathilde Walter Clark (Denmark), Veronique Tadjo (South Africa) and Partaw Naderi (Afghanistan).

The Shambaugh House reading, at 430 N. Clinton St., will feature the work of two Chinese writers, fiction writer/screenwriter Bi Feiyu and screenwriter/director Lou Ye.

Twenty-nine writers, representing 22 countries, are in residence this fall at the IWP. Biographies of all the writers are accessible on the IWP website,
