Temple Law Professor, Senate Candidate To Speak At Law School
Jan Ting, law professor at Temple University and Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Delaware, will deliver the keynote address at the Asian American Law Student Association's spring conference on Tuesday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m. in room 225 in the Boyd Law Building.
Admission is free and open to the public. Ting's address is titled "An Asian-American Perspective on Immigration, National Security and Politics." A reception will follow.
Ting, who teaches taxation and immigration law at the Temple University School of Law, was named the 2003 Asian-American Law Professor of the Year by the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, he was assistant commissioner of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service from 1990 to 1993, during the George H. W. Bush administration.
