UI Foundation Publications Win Awards In Two Competitions
Fundraising materials produced in 2005 by the University of Iowa Foundation communications staff have won awards from the Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids (AdFed) and from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The foundation won a total of eight ADDY awards in the 37th annual AdFed competition. Foundation publications produced for special events in 2005 earned a Judge's Choice award (for the Sugar Plum Visionaries thank-you card, produced for Hancher Auditorium) and a Best in Category distinction (for the Presidents Club Assembly invitation package). In addition, materials produced by the foundation received three Gold ADDYs and three Silver ADDYs:

The ADDY awards were presented at a January 2006 banquet in Cedar Rapids.
UI Foundation publications also received two "Pride of CASE V" awards from district five (V) of CASE, an international association for support and training of advancement professionals in education. The awards program attracted several hundred submissions from educational organizations throughout the Midwest, and winners were announced at the 2005 CASE V conference, held in Chicago last December. The UI Foundation received a bronze award for excellence in print advertising for the "Good. Better. Best. Iowa" ad series, and another bronze in the annual report category for the 2004 Annual Report on Giving to The University of Iowa, titled "All the Best."
Current UI Foundation staff who contributed to the production of award-winning materials include: Danette Angerer, Nic Arp, Theresa Black, Dick Blazek, Connie Driscoll-Wicke, Betsy Hickok, Leah Klevar, Tom Langdon, Hilery Livengood, Forrest Meyer, Susan Shullaw, Jill Tobin and Diane Van Hoozer.
