UI Nonfiction Writing Program Presents 'Writers Gone Public' Dec. 6, 7

The University of Iowa Nonfiction Writing Program will present "Writers Gone Public," readings of essays by undergraduate writing students, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 6 and 7, in the Gerber Lounge (Room 304) of the UI English-Philosophy Building.

The free readings spotlight the work of students who have been mentored by graduate students in the Master of Fine Arts program in literary nonfiction.

"This tradition has become an exciting way to showcase the outstanding writing, and the teaching that enables it," faculty member Bonnie Sunstein said.

The Nonfiction Writing Program is part of the English Department in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
