Libraries Workshop To Help Find Iowa Demographic Information
The University of Iowa Libraries and State Library of Iowa's State Data Center will co-sponsor a workshop to help businesses, non-profits and other organizations find updated Iowa demographic information.
"What To Do Until the 2010 Census" is a three-hour, hands-on workshop that starts at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Information Arcade in the UI Main Library. The workshop introduces participants to state and federal Web sites that provide Iowa demographic data to supplement the decennial census.
Seating is limited so participants are asked to register well in advance. To register, contact Marianne Mason via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 319-335-5538. Please include in the e-mail your full name, contact information and institutional association.
Presenters include Beth Henning, coordinator of the State Data Center, who will offer tips, tools and hands-on practice for finding information about Iowa's population, migration and immigration, and social and economic well-being.
