UI Hospitals And Clinics Welcomes New Guest And Support Services Leader
Leaders of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics today announced the appointment of Timothy M. Gaillard, as senior assistant director for Guest and Support Services.
In his new post, Gaillard will provide leadership and coordination for Food and Nutrition Services, Facilities Operations, Maintenance and Engineering, Environmental Services, Materials Management, Procurement Services, Information Desks and the Helen Rossi Guest House.
Gaillard received a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism studies, and his master of health administration degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. He received a master of science, business administration, from Boston University at its overseas campus at Heidelberg, Germany.
For the last 10 years, Gaillard held various positions with Palmetto Health in Columbia, S.C., including serving as director of engineering services in their flagship 649-bed teaching hospital. Prior to his work with Palmetto, he served six years with the United States Army, working at Womack Army Medical Center in North Carolina, the 98th General Hospital in Nurnburg, Germany, the 34th General Hospital in Augsburg, Germany and Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Colorado, primarily in biomedical engineering.
