Law School To Graduate 32 In December Commencement
The University of Iowa College of Law will graduate 32 new counselors in commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m. in the Boyd Law Building.
The commencement address will be given by Anuradha Vaitheswaran, a judge on the Iowa Court of Appeals and a 1984 graduate of the UI law school. Vaitheswaran attended high school in Cedar Rapids, received her bachelor's degree from Grinnell College and also earned a Master's degree in political science from UI. She worked for Legal Services Corporation of Iowa and the Iowa Attorney General's Office before her appointment to the appellate bench in 1999.
Professor Enrique Carrasco will give the commencement address on behalf of the faculty, with Professors John Mark Stensvaag and Pat Bauer presenting and hooding the graduates. Pat Cain, law professor and associate UI provost, will confer the degrees.
