STAT Ambassadors Honored As Top Alumni Program
The University of Iowa Alumni Association's Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) Ambassadors program was honored as the Outstanding Organization by the Association of Student Advancement Programs recently.
STAT Ambassadors are student representatives of the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Alumni Association. The Ambassadors are responsible for the planning and implementation of a variety of activities and programs, including: Beat Iowa State Week, Make-A-Wish Game Day, on-campus Hawkeye Care Packages, Alumni Reunion Weekend, Distinguished Alumni Hosts, Off-campus Finals Kits, Board Correspondents Program, The New Student Record, S.T.A.T. activities and educational events, and a variety of membership/recruitment duties.
"Overall, I am most thrilled about the award because it is so exciting to be recognized and honored by our peers," said Cindy Meis, assistant director of programs for the UI Alumni Association. "This recognition is well deserved and the Ambassadors have surely proven their commitment and excellence to the Alumni Association, the university, and Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow.
The program was one of two honored by ASAP at its convention in Boston July 30.
