UI Neurologist To Staff Outreach Clinic In Fairfield
A University of Iowa specialist will provide an outreach clinic for patients with neurological disorders twice a month, beginning Sept. 14, at the Jefferson County Hospital, located at 400 Highland St. in Fairfield.
Shekar Raman, M.D., will staff the clinic on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Raman attended medical school at the University of Ottawa in Canada. He completed an internship at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, followed by a residency in neurology and fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine at UI Hospitals and Clinics. He specializes in treating patients with sleep disorders and general neurological conditions.
