Grand Avenue Block Party Set
The sixth annual Grand Avenue Block Party will once again mark the end of the academic year with an afternoon of activities, music and food on Saturday, April 30, from noon to 6 p.m. in the Quadrangle Hall Courtyard.
This year's theme is "Get Dirty" and showcases Mud Club, a successful program that was offered last year. In Mud Club, students can mud wrestle their friends and fellow students in front of an audience of hundreds. The Block Party will also offer a variety of inflatable amusements, including an obstacle course, jousting and bungee challenge. Live music will be provided by local student bands showcased on the main stage.
Also on hand will be traditional carnival goodies like cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones, along with picnic food provided by Hillcrest Marketplace, team sports, educational booths and tye-dying.
The Grand Avenue Block Party is sponsored by the Department of Residence Services, Associated Residence Halls, Hillcrest Association, Student Hall Association of Rienow and Quadrangle, United Slater Association and Coca Cola.
