UI College of Pharmacy To Hold Symposium And Poster Session
The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy's Clinical and Administrative Division will hold its sixth annual Research Achievement Day Symposium and Poster Session Monday, April 25.
The symposium will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room S-538 of the Pharmacy Building (PB). The keynote speaker is Howard McLeod, Pharm.D., director of the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center Pharmacology Core and an associate professor in the oncology division of the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. McLeod will discuss the "Pharmacogentics for Every Nation Initiative: Taking the Genome to the Masses."
The poster session will follow from 1 to 5 p.m. in the atrium of the Eckstein Medical Research Building (EMRB). Judging of the posters will be from 1 to 2 p.m., and the winners of the poster awards will be presented at the research symposium reception from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the college's Division of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy.
