NPMA Continues Series With 'Marketing Nonprofit Organizations'
The Nonprofit Management Academy (NPMA) continues its 2004-2005 series with "Marketing Nonprofit Organizations" on Thursday, April 21, at the Coral Ridge Mall Community Room, 1451 Coral Ridge Ave. The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This seminar will explore effective ideas for marketing nonprofit organizations and their programs. Topics of discussion will include finding the best way to spend marketing dollars, developing a marketing plan for an agency, basics of layout and design to enhance the appearance of promotional materials and ways to engage an entire organization to think in terms of marketing.
The trainers for the session are Community Development Specialist Tom Quinn and County Extension Education Director Amy Nossman, both from Iowa State University Extension.
The fee for the seminar is $50, and CEU credits are available. Participants may enroll in individual courses or a program leading to a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, United Way of Johnson County, Iowa Shares and the Iowa Women's Foundation.
