UI Hospitals And Clinics To Celebrate Health Care Quality
Faculty and staff at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics will join their colleagues across the United States in celebrating National Healthcare Quality Week Oct. 17-23.
The nationwide recognition week is designed to unite health care professionals and encourage the celebration of quality achievements. Throughout the week at UI Hospitals and Clinics, staff from Clinical Outcomes and Resource Management (CORM) will coordinate a display of posters in the Main Lobby detailing numerous performance improvement and quality enhancement efforts.
U.S.News & World Report consistently ranks UI Hospitals and Clinics, the state's only comprehensive academic medical center, among the best hospitals in America. More than 160 physicians on the faculty of the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine are also included on the "America's Best Doctors" database. In addition, UI Hospitals and Clinics is the only hospital in Iowa to earn the Magnet Award, which recognizes the nursing staff for providing excellent patient care.
