Hancher Showcase Holiday Shopping Hours Continue Through Dec. 22
Hancher Showcase, the gift shop in the lobby of the University of Iowa Hancher Auditorium, will be open for extended holiday shopping hours through Dec. 22. The shop will be open 10:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, except for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving weekend the Showcase will be open 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27.
Entry to the Showcase is through the main lobby doors of Hancher.
This year the Showcase has stocked a variety of new holiday items, in addition to its regular merchandise, which includes arts-related items, jewelry, games, home-decorating items, recordings and collectibles.
The Hancher Showcase is operated and staffed by members of the Hancher Guild, the volunteer organization of Hancher Auditorium. Proceeds support Hancher's educational programs.
The Showcase will also be open for audience members at Dance Gala 2004 on Nov. 12 and 13, the UI Band Extravaganza on Nov. 16 and 17, Kremerata Baltica concert on Nov. 18, the UI Symphony and Choruses on Dec. 1, the Old Gold Singers "Cocoa and Carols" performance on Dec. 4,and the Dec. 9-12 performances of the Joffrey Ballet.
Tickets for those events are on sale at the Hancher box office.
Hancher Auditorium box office business hours are 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. From the local calling area, dial 319-335-1160. Long distance is toll-free, 1-800-HANCHER.
