Nonprofit Management Academy Offers Program Evaluation Seminar
The Nonprofit Management Academy announces the final monthly seminar in its year-long series. "Program Evaluation: Knowing When We Succeed" will be presented on Wednesday and Thursday, May 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day at the UI Community Credit Union at 825 Mormon Trek in Iowa City.
This seminar will focus on ways to develop or improve nonprofit organizations' program evaluation processes. The workshop will address ways to determine evaluation questions, types and sources of evidence needed, considerations for data analysis and reporting plans. The seminar is designed to make program evaluation less intimidating. Participants will have practice opportunities for identifying objectives, results, measures and indicators that assist with writing program progress and success reports.
The trainer for the session is Susan Murty, associate professor in the University of Iowa's School of Social Work.
The fee for the seminar is $40, and CEU credits are available.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, Kirkwood Community College, the Iowa Women's Foundation, and the UI Community Credit Union.
To register for the training, or for more information, please call Paula Lichtenstein at 319-337-2145.
