May 12 History Channel Program To Include IIHR Interview, Footage
The History Channel will include an interview and film footage recorded at the University of Iowa College of Engineering's IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering unit during its 9 p.m. (CDT) Wednesday, May 12 program, "Modern Marvels -- Hydraulics."
The program will feature an interview with Thanos Papanicolaou, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering and IIHR associate faculty research engineer, and photographs borrowed from IIHR's Rare Hydraulics Books Collection.
The Institute, a unit of the UI College of Engineering, is one of the world's premier and oldest fluids research and engineering laboratories. Students and visitors from around the world have come to IIHR to study and conduct research and to carry acquired expertise back to their home countries.
