Women's Center Offers Self-Care Group For Summer
The Women's Resource & Action Center (WRAC) at the University of Iowa will offer a new self group, SPAA: Self-Pampering and Appreciation, this summer.
"This new group is designed to help participants build confidence in all realms of their lives," says Group Services Coordinator Kerri Barnstuble.
Group members will be encouraged to value taking care of themselves. Discussion topics will include the importance of self-esteem, relaxation and enjoying everyday life despite day-to-day obstacles. There will also be "field trips" to local "pampering" spots.
The group will meet at WRAC from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning June 22. There is no charge for participation, but there is a suggested donation of $10 for the entire run of the group. Space is limited, so call the Women's Resource & Action Center at 335-1486 now to sign up.
For more information, or to arrange for needed accommodations to participate, call the Center at 319-335-1486 or visit www.uiowa.edu/~wrac.
