Seminar To Examine Rhetoric Of National Security Strategy
The University of Iowa Project on Rhetoric of Inquiry will sponsor a seminar that examines the rhetoric used by the Bush Administration in its new national security strategy.
"The National Security Strategy of the United States of America: A Public Rhetoric Seminar" will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Iowa City Senior Center, 28 S. Linn St. Admission is free and open to the public.
An interdisciplinary group of scholars from UI and Drake University will discuss what the strategy means and how its authors seek to persuade readers that it will make the United States more secure.
