Pharmacy Students Named To Honor Society
Twenty-three students from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy will be inducted in the Rho Chi Society, the national academic honor society in pharmacy, at a ceremony April 2 at the Ramada Inn in Coralville.
Established in 1922, the Rho Chi Society encourages and recognizes excellence in intellectual achievement and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of pharmacy. To be accepted into the society, an initiate must be enrolled in a professional pharmacy program that is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education; have completed no less than one-half of the required professional didactic coursework; rank in the top 20 percent of their class; and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
The UI students to be inducted are: Kelly Arnold; Kristina Beacom; Mikel Brandhorst; Ira Buckner; Adam Freiburger; Jillian Hernan; Rachel Jackson; Laura Jorgensen; Tsung-Chi Lien; Sarah Morio; Justin Nevins; Michael Novak; Michelle O'Connor; Kristin Prendergast; Jessica Purcell; Melissa Redeker; Ashley Schorger; Kendra Sieperda; Melissa Storck; Laura Uthe; She-Yi Wei; Jennifer Wood; and Janice Worsham.
