Stille Elected Vice President Of International Association
Dale Stille, longtime instructional resource specialist in the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences department of physics and astronomy, has been elected vice president of the Physics Instructional Resource Association (PIRA) for 2004. As vice president, Stille is in line to serve successive one-year terms as president-elect, president and past president.
Founded in 1985, PIRA is an international organization of instructional support staff such as lab coordinators, demonstration specialists, high school and college teachers, and science educators, including museum directors and staff. As vice president, Stille will be in charge of the resource room for the 2004 summer American Association of Physics Teachers meeting. The resource room distributes education materials, references, and demonstrations to teachers attending the meeting at little or no cost to them.
