Nonprofit Management Academy Offers Seminar On Financial Management
The Nonprofit Management Academy announces the sixth monthly seminar in its year-long series. "Financial Management of Nonprofit Organizations" will be presented Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day, at the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, 825 Mormon Trek in Iowa City.
The seminar will focus on budget planning and projections, accounting and record-keeping, management reporting, audits and accountability, and working with boards on financial matters.
Trainers for the session are Beverly Webber, executive director of the United Way of Johnson County, and Bruce Guither, CPA, senior manager of Clifton Gunderson LLP.
The fee for the seminar is $40, and CEU credits are available.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, Kirkwood Community College, the Iowa Women's Foundation and the UI Community Credit Union.
