UI Dance Concert Features Undergraduate Choreography

The University of Iowa dance department will present its spring Undergraduate Concert at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, in the Space/Place Theatre of UI North Hall.

The concert, under the supervision of faculty members Linda A. Crist and Alan Sener, will range from solos and duets to works for larger ensembles, and will feature an eclectic mix of dance styles from modern dance to hip-hop.

Featured will be:

--"The Task at Hand," a quartet by Emily Price.
--"Consoling Age," a duet by Jayme Haeberlin.
--"Revealed," a solo by Carlie Czarnota.
--"Fusion," a duet by Danielle Haney.
--"Get it . . . Together?", a quartet by Dayna Defilippis.
--"With the flow," a sextet by Amy Isherwood.
--"Fickle," a duet by Erika Gates.
--"Another Way," a trio by Jayme Haeberlin.
--"Wadayawant," a group piece by J.C. Cochran and Cindy Huston.

Admission will be $10 ($5 for UI students). Tickets may be purchased in advance from the University Box Office in the Iowa Memorial Union, 319-335-3041 or toll-free 800-346-4401. The fax number is 319-335-3407. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5-9 p.m. Sunday.

In addition to cash and checks, the University Box Office accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards.

Any remaining tickets will be placed on sale at the door.
