April 8 is National Radiology Nurses Day
The American Radiological Nurses Association (ARNA) recently announced that its nursing specialty has received its own special day of recognition.
For the first time April 8 is designated as National Radiology Nurses Day. ARNA is the specialty nurses association for nurses who practice in diagnostic and therapeutic imaging environments.
The mission of ARNA is to provide, promote, maintain continuity of, and continuously improve, patient care through service to its members. The American Radiological Nurses Association is an organization of more than 1,500 nurses who work in the following imaging environments:
Radiology nursing specialists serve patients throughout University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In addition, the UI Hospitals and Clinics department of radiology offers training programs in various imaging techniques.
The 2003 Spring Educational Meeting for the American Radiological Nurses Association will be March 28-April 1 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
