MEDIA ADVISORY: UI Website Anticipates Admissions Ruling
The University of Iowa has created a website in anticipation of the ruling this month by the U.S. Supreme Court on the consideration of race by the University of Michigan and its law school in their admissions processes.
The website can be found at http://news.uiowa.edu/admissions and includes an FAQ (frequently asked question) section addressing the UI's current admissions policies; a list of media contacts, including UI officials who can answer questions specifically about UI admissions policies and procedures and experts in the areas of political science and law who can speak more broadly about issues of race, diversity and affirmative action; and a list of campus resources where people can find additional information about programs, policies and opportunities related to race and diversity at the UI.
For information about the Michigan cases, visit http://www.umich.edu/~urel/admissions/.
