Mother's Milk Bank of Iowa, located at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics,
was created in August 2002. It serves hospitalized infants at Children's Hospital
of Iowa Special Care Nurseries and, eventually, babies across the state.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has long recognized human milk as the
preferred nutrition for all infants, especially premature and sick infants.
Mother's Milk Bank of Iowa collects, pasteurizes, stores and distributes human
breast milk for the tiniest of premature babies.
Monetary contributions can be made in care of Mother's Milk Bank of Iowa
through the UI Foundation. For more information, please call (319) 356-3636
