Media Advisory: Center For Managing Pain To Open At UI Hospitals and Clinics

Reporters are invited to tour the new Center for Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesia at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The center represents a unique approach to managing pain for patients. The center is the first of its kind to incorporate the treatment of chronic and acute postoperative pain, and the performance of regional anesthesia and analgesia techniques in a single clinic.

Staff members who will work in the Center for Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesia and patients who will benefit from the facility will be available for interviews. The center is located on the fifth level of the John Pappajohn Pavilion in Room 5855. To reach the center, take Elevator I.
