Division Of Ultrasound Accredited
The American College of Radiology (ACR) recently awarded a three-year term of accreditation to the Division of Ultrasound in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Radiology.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., awards accreditation to health care facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of its practice. Board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conduct the survey. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR's Committee on Accreditation, which later provides a comprehensive report to the facility.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists, with programs for focusing the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
