Crash Landing Leads To Self-Discovery In "Flying Lessons"
The University Theatres Gallery series will present "Flying Lessons," by Iowa Playwrights Workshop student Lisa Day, at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 20-22, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 in Theatre B of the University of Iowa Theatre Building.
Day's protagonist is Rachel, a young mother and comic-book writer who believes she knows how to fly. After she crash lands from a mismatched relationship, her comic creations teach her what her real powers are.
"Flying Lessons" is directed with Chris Leyva, with set design by Ben Stark, costume design by Jean Finley and lighting design by Tim Kaufman.
Admission will be $5 ($3 for UI students) at the door.
