UI Carver College Of Medicine Staff, Student Serve AAMC
A staff member and a student in the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine were appointed to leadership positions during the annual meeting of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), held Nov. 7-12 in Washington, D.C.
Jean Lantz, registrar and director of student programs and records, was named national chair of the AAMC Group on Student Affairs National Committee on Student Records. Lantz had finished a term as chair of the Central Region Group on Student Affairs.
Sara Brenner, a second-year medical student, was elected as one of five national delegates to the AAMC Organization of Student Representatives Administrative Board.
Linda Bissell, director of financial services in the UI Carver College of Medicine, currently serves the AAMC as the Central Region representative to the National Committee on Student Financial Assistance. Bissell was named to this position in 2002.
